• All abstracts must be submitted through the official APMSTS 2027 online abstract submission system.
• Abstracts must be written in English.
• Each abstract must be submitted separately. There is no preset limit on the number of abstracts an author may submit.
• The submitting author is responsible for the accuracy of all submitted information and for obtaining approval from all co-authors.
• One author must be designated as the presenting author. The presenting author must register for and attend the meeting.
• The Scientific Committee reserves the right to determine the final presentation format and to reassign an abstract to a different category when appropriate.

Title - Concise and informative; maximum 25 words; sentence case recommended.
Abstract body - Maximum 300 words.
Required structure - Background/Objectives; Methods; Results; Conclusions.
References - Not required and generally should not be included.
Blinding - Do not include author names, institutions, hospitals, cities, countries, or other identifying information in the abstract body.
Tables/Figures - Not allowed.
Results - Actual study findings must be provided. Statements such as "results will be presented" are not acceptable.
• The background and objective or hypothesis should be clearly stated.
• Methods should include, where applicable, study design, study population or experimental sample, relevant inclusion/exclusion criteria, interventions, comparison groups, outcome measures, follow-up, and statistical methods.
• Results should include sufficient quantitative data to support the conclusions, including sample size and relevant effect estimates, confidence intervals, p-values, or other appropriate measures when applicable.
• Conclusions must be directly supported by the presented results and should not overstate causality or generalizability.
• Use generic names for drugs and devices whenever possible. Commercial promotion or advertising is not permitted.
• Submitted work should represent original scientific research relevant to musculoskeletal oncology.
• Work already published as a full-length peer-reviewed article before the submission deadline should not normally be submitted in substantially identical form.
• Work under review or accepted but not yet published may be submitted, provided that any potential overlap is disclosed when requested.
• The Scientific Committee may reject abstracts judged to represent duplicate or redundant publication or presentation.
• Research involving human participants must have appropriate Institutional Review Board (IRB) or Ethics Committee approval, or a documented waiver when applicable.
• Animal research must have approval from the appropriate institutional animal care or ethics committee.
• All authors must disclose relevant financial relationships and conflicts of interest during submission.
• Generative artificial intelligence tools cannot be listed as authors. Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, scientific integrity, and confidentiality of all submitted content, including AI-assisted content.
• Authors may indicate a preference for Oral Presentation, Poster Presentation, or Either Oral or Poster.
• Presentation preference cannot be guaranteed. Final assignment will be based on scientific merit, reviewer scores, category ranking, program balance, and available presentation slots.
All eligible abstracts will undergo blinded peer review by members of the APMSTS 2027 Scientific Committee and invited reviewers. Abstracts will be evaluated according to the following 100-point framework:
Originality and Innovation - 20 Points
Scientific Methodology and Rigor - 25 Points
Quality and Completeness of Results - 20 Points
Significance and Clinical/Scientific Impact - 20 Points
Validity of Conclusions - 10 Points
Clarity and Organization - 5 Points
All abstract-based oral presentations are eligible, excluding invited lectures and non-abstract sessions. Selection will consider scientific quality and rigor, originality and significance, quality of presentation, interpretation and relevance, response to questions, and adherence to the allotted time.
All accepted posters presented in accordance with meeting requirements are eligible. Selection will consider scientific quality and rigor, originality and significance, completeness of results, poster organization and visual clarity, the presenter's explanation of the study, and response to questions.
• Acceptance or rejection notifications will be sent electronically to the submitting/presenting author.
• Accepted abstracts will receive information regarding presentation type, session assignment, date/time, and presentation instructions.
• Abstracts may be edited through the online system until the submission deadline.
• After the deadline, substantive changes to the title, abstract content, study results, or author list will generally not be permitted.
• Withdrawal requests must be submitted to the APMSTS 2027 Secretariat as soon as possible
• Register for APMSTS 2027 by the designated presenter registration deadline.
• Attend the meeting and present the accepted abstract at the assigned date and time unless otherwise approved by the Organizing Committee.
• Comply with presentation format and time limits.
• Disclose relevant conflicts of interest at the beginning of the oral presentation or on the poster.
• Failure to register or present without appropriate notification may result in removal of the abstract from the final scientific program.
By submitting an abstract, authors grant APMSTS permission to publish the abstract, author information, and related materials in the meeting program, abstract book, website, mobile application, or other official APMSTS 2027 materials.
